Wingate & Finchley have just announced almost a full side of new signings just before taking on Kingstonian- and the K's manager Hayden Bird would have been familiar with a one of them, as he used to be part of his Merstham side.
Defender Henry Marku, a former Middlesex County Under 16, used to play for Oxhey Jets in the Spartan South Midlands League, so may be unfamiliar to Isthmian League supporters- as may Alan Fleming, a striker who has fairly recently left Norwich City, where he played for the youth side, and Mason Hall, a defender who is a former Leyton Orient scholar. Tage Kennedy joins that list, a striker who was recently with Enfield Borough.
Roman Michael-Percil is the former Merstham man, making twenty four appearances last season and scoring four goals. Olumide Oluwatimilehin spent some of last season with Lewes, and has also turned out for Hornchurch (when they still had their AFC), Three Bridges and Whyteleafe, amongst others. He also scored for the Blues on Saturday.
Midfielder Henry Ochieng has been part of the squads at Leyton Orient and Braintree, whilst striker Marvin Morgan will be best remembered for his spells with Aldershot Town, Dagenham & Redbridge, Plymouth Argyle and Shrewsbury Town- although most recently he's been with Hendon.
Finally, striker James Ewington did magnificently for Northwood last season, and then headed to Walton Casuals where he did even better!
